Second Split Opener

This winter following the Christmas holiday season and the beginning of waterfowl hunting after the second split opener. We headed down to Arkansas the day after Christmas to catch those ducks right after the Santa Claus split as we like to call it. In our Whitetails & Waterfowl crew there was no shortage of excitement to get back into the groove to finish off the last leg of waterfowl season. Despite the overcast skies and brisk conditions, the weather was ideal for duck hunting, cloudy, cool, and just the right amount of wind to keep the birds moving after the early morning fog lifted.

Over the course of the trip, we stacked the birds like never before. The tailgates tell the full story of mixed bags, with heavy straps and a full spread of limits day after day. From Gadwalls to Shovelers, Pintails, and Teal, we hit it hard and the pictures speak for themselves. The best part wasn't the harvest but the good laughs, great calling, and unbeatable moments shared in the pit that came with the harvest. This trip wasn’t just about the ducks, it was about the crew, the tradition, and the shared passion that keeps us coming back season after season.
